HAZRATH HEERE SHAH MIYAN SAHAB QIBLA Qudda Sirrahual Azeez was the First Muslim to arrive in warangal the capital of powerful kakatiya kingdom when it was scaling the heights of glory. This was the time when Muslims were most unwelcome in this territory. Due to their phenomenal advancement in North India. Interestingly, he was also the First Muslim SAINT belonging to the Qadiriya order from Iraq with his followers and presented Islam in a most hostile socio - political environment. He demonstrated unique qualities of love for the fellow human beings and endurance in facing all odds and tribulations set before him during Pratapa RudraII's rule(1295 - 1323 AD). Nothing could stop him from his path of love and peace for all, be it the military might or the magical prowess of the king.
Stationed at what is now the New Bus Terminal of Hanamkonda, HAZRATH HEERE SHAH MIYAN SAHAB QIBLA reached out to the inhabitants of the historic city. Sometimes his path was strewn with the burning cinders and quiet often restricted to enter the important areas of the temple town of Hanamkonda, HAZRATH HEERE SHAH MIYAN SAHAB QIBLA always move forward in spreading TAWHEED and the message of ISLAM. Like every notable standard bearer of Islam, he had to face exile several times. The kings subjects dragged him out to the outskirts of Hanamkonda at the behest of the king, the saint appeared at the place of his choice in the heart of the city. This annoyed the king very much. No obstacle could stop this "Man of God" from going anywhere. One day it was one such exile which brought the Saint and the King face to face. The king was in deep meditation in Padmakshi temple room with the door closed from inside. As the king opened his eyes at the end of the meditation he saw to his awe and wonder, the saint was standing before him and saying: "Why do you worship the lifeless objects?". An awe-stricken king asked the saint: "How did you enter this bolted room without entering it and what do you want? The saint was calm and unfazed at the presence of the king. By now the king had realized that the saint possessed extraordinary powers and enjoyed great spiritual height. The Truth of Islam had prevailed and the saint emerged victorious. The king asked the saint never to enter the area of the temple again. The saint replied: I shall walk throughout the city and preach the message of Islam. The king entered into an agreement with the saint and said that he could go any where in the city.
The freedom thus earned gave an impetus to the mission of the saint. He paved the way for the coming of Islam environment in warangal. He built a mosque, a monastery and a small hut for his residence for the help and succor of the people. He carried forward his mission of introducing Islam to the masses for many years. Along with presenting Islam in its pristine form which characterizes the belief in one god, ALLAH and a classless society, he also guided people in knowing god deeply and bringing them closer to Him. His circle of followers expanded phenomenally who learnt The Holy Quran, The Hadith and Zikr from him.
HAZRATH HEERE SHAH MIYAN SAHAB QIBLA was known for his Ibadath, Zikr, Riyazat and belief in the will of Allah. He conquered the evils and Jinns. Thus he paved the road for the arrival of Islam. Later, after he left this mortal world , Muslims came to warangal during the reigns of the king Muhammad Tuglaq (1303AD)and Aladdin khaliji(1309 AD). Second time the arrival was significant and decisive. From warangal Islam made its way as far as Tamilnadu. Hazrath Nizamuddin Aulia of Delhi took keen interest in spreading the message of Islam in warangal and beyond.People of all faiths visit the Mazar of Hazrath Heere Shah Miyan R.A.His Dargah is a center of peace and communal harmony.
